Very good for price!
I faced some issues during my stay that truly affected my experience. The room I was assigned was at the very end of the hallway, which was quite inconvenient for my family, especially since we were traveling with an infant. Additionally, the breakfast options felt overpriced and lacked variety, which was disappointing compared to other hotels where we enjoyed similar meals for free.

Perfect spot for exploring Kyoto!
We loved this place! The staff were super friendly and helped us navigate the area. It was cool having a little convenience store just a short walk away for snacks. The shared public bath had amazing facilities. One thing though, the breakfast could’ve used a bit more variety.

great facilities but lacks some breakfast variety
The staff communicated effectively in English and were always ready to assist. The location made it easy to access local restaurants and shops just steps away from the hotel. The hot springs provided a wonderful way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing.
The breakfast selection did not meet my expectations, as it felt limited for the price.

I had a fantastic 4-night stay! The communal bath was so relaxing, and I loved the eco-friendly room cleaning initiative providing free water. However, the communal area could use more seating.

This place was just a strong match for a temporary stay in Kyoto with reasonable value. The hot springs were nice after a long day of sightseeing. Make sure to look out for the quiet common areas to relax.

The hot springs were a standout feature, providing a lovely retreat after a day of exploring. Amenities like the library and water refiller in the lounge reflected a commitment to sustainability while adding comfort. However, the breakfast options could use more variety, especially for longer stays, and the front desk not being 24 hours could be limiting for late inquiries. While the cleaning staff was notably helpful, the layered key card access added complexity that may not be ideal for everyone.

Had a great stay at Hotel Keihan Kyoto Hachijoguchi! The location was excellent, just an 8-10 minute walk from Kyoto Station, making it super convenient for getting around. The room was spacious, featuring a flat-screen TV, free WiFi, and a deep soaking bathtub for a relaxing end to the day. Also, the elevator was quick, which is a rare find! We especially enjoyed the hot springs and complimentary ice cream.
The lobby had an unpleasant odor during the stay.
